Quality family-run spot
Tucked just back from the road but clearly marked with a sign, K Place is a straightforward family-run guesthouse in a central location.
Rooms seem to emerge from every corner of the large concrete house, with the cheapest fronting a pleasant shared patio with a slight sea view atop the second floor. These come with hardwood floors, TVs, mini-fridges, small tables, soft beds with lime-green sheets, a couple of windows with white drapes and cramped bathrooms with a bit of mildew. Located on a lower floor, the larger rooms are outfitted with tile floors and are worth the extra cash, mainly for the added space in the bathrooms, which also appeared cleaner than those in the standard editions. Some rooms receive more natural light than others, so you might check out a few if that matters to you. The woman who runs the place is welcoming and soft-spoken, though English is not her strong suit. Overall this is a good choice for those who want to be in the middle of the action. Rates negotiable in low season.
