Scattered down a hillside overlooking Panka Noi, Viewpoint's bungalows give a sense of seclusion despite being centrally located.
The sturdy bungalows are built of concrete and brick and each has a private porch with two chairs. Interiors are well maintained, with firm beds, mosquito nets and fans. The partially open bathrooms with stone floors are nicely designed, though the glass shard-studded concrete walls can be either disturbing or reassuring. The most recently built bungalows are nearest the beach; these are more spacious and with more screened windows than the others, but also more expensive. Bungalows further up the hill are clean and comfortable, and some have excellent views of the karst formations in the bay. However a few are perched way up top, very close to Coconut Bar and a stone's throw from Baan Sulaida's bungalows, which are half the price and nearly as good. The place has a laid back vibe, and we were offered 500 baht off a seafront room, without asking, in late November.
