One of the original floating bungalows operated by the Department of National Parks (DNP), Tone Tuey is a popular spot for both day and overnight tour trips.

Also called Ton Tert, it's one of the most isolated places to stay, found at the edge of an inlet that leads to Namtaloo cave. With rolling green hills rather than steep karst mountains in the immediate area, Tone Tuey's surrounds are not as dramatic as some of the other rafthouses, but it's a great spot for kayaking with nearby inlets to explore. Kayaks are provided for no extra charge. This is a typical example of the more basic bungalow types on the lake, one of four bungalows run by the DNP. At Tone Tuey, about a dozen small bamboo huts are set along a single floating walkway, furnished only with a double mattress on the floor and a bare bulb light. Toilets and shower facilities are shared and found a short walk over a bamboo walkway and up the hill. These are also very basic, and would be daunting to visit at night so be sure to bring along your torch. Electricity is available only from 18:30 to 22:00. If booking directly with the DNP, the cost is 400 baht a night; prices exclude transport and meals. Most visitors book these as an all-inclusive overnight package for around 2,500 baht, which covers all transport by minivan and boat, a guided hike to the cave and meals. Overnight trips may be arranged at any guesthouse or tour company in Khao Sok.
