Great budget digs
Family Hotel has remained a good, reliable choice in Kon Tum for backpackers throughout the years.
The clean rooms are great for the price with tile floor, freshly painted walls, air-con, fan, WiFi, fridge, rattan chairs and big windows. Bathrooms are tiled affairs of a decent size and the mint green fixtures may not be the most stylish, but everything is functional and you get towels as well. In fact, everything about Family Hotel has been well maintained and it has been better looked after than neighbours Binh Minh and Tay Nguyen. The real surprise is the courtyard garden, which has a pond, fountain, footbridges and more gongs than you can bang a stick at. It’s easy walking distance to the centre and some English is spoken. Guests should like dogs as three small pooches reign over the lobby.
