Located just a couple of shops up from The Sinh Tourist bus office at Trung Cang Hotel, iDorm’s shared and private rooms are far better value than Trung Cang and worth walking the few metres. The dorm rooms are plain white boxes with white metal cots, big fluffy white duvets and very firm mattresses; it’s a clinical but very clean feeling. The beds are lined up side by side with only an inch in between, though it’s doubtful that this hostel would be full enough that you’d be sleeping next to someone. Those on the top bunk have to be mindful of the low ceiling.

Rooms with private bathrooms are on the small side and have the same clean, white, uncontroversial feeling. They come with flatscreen TV, a window and small but new looking hot water bathroom with mirror and towel rack. It’s a decent place to recover after the Sinh Tourist bus ride or even to use as home base for Da Lat – it’s only 200 metres to the lake, 350 metres to the central market. There’s free WiFi. Add US$1 to include breakfast at their cute on-site restaurant.
