Sitting right on its own stretch of Cat Co 2 beach, we wouldn’t call this a resort so much as a selection of huts scattered around a pretty garden.
Although to call the “seafront" bungalows “huts" is perhaps a bit harsh: they are well built stone and wood affairs with outdoor bathrooms and sun loungers on shady patios a stone’s throw from the beach. We still thought they were a bit on the pricey side given the basic furnishings and lack of pool, but it is a unique offer on Cat Ba Island and worth a look if you can get an online deal. Cheaper “seaview" huts at the back really are huts, and didn’t do it for us –- particularly at US$75 a night – though they have character. Family rooms and doubles are available in the large building at the back.
What we were quoted as a walk-in.
|Beachfront bungalow||2,400,000 dong||2,700,000 dong|
|Family room||3,000,000 dong||4,500,000 dong|
