Ben Tre Oasis is a Kiwi-run hotel on the southern bank of the Ben Tre River that delivers quality rooms and services at a midrange price.

Rooms are set in a three story building, set just back from the south side of the Ben Tre River. The ground floor includes a small awning–covered rectangular swimming pool, the cafe area and a few rooms, with more rooms are in the floors above. It is this ground floor area you’ll most likely encounter the Kiwi owner and his team of friendly staff, who were happy to show us through a few of the rooms.

The tile-floored (and partially–tiled walled) rooms are clean and come with comfortable beds with real bedding—the various bed covers making it feel more like a homestay than a small hotel. Bathrooms are clean, though well aged. Facilities include air–con, free WiFi, complimentary water and breakfast is included in the rates. All rooms are non-smoking.

By Ben Tre standards, the rooms are perhaps a little pricey, but the facilities are good and if the price fits with your budget, this is a solid choice. The owner is a generous and knowledgable guy who can advise on activities in the surrounds. Both bicycles and motorbikes are available for rent and boat trips can be organised here. We were quoted slightly less for a room as a walk-in customer compared to what was available through online agents.
