If you’re backpacker looking for a place to stay at Rach Gia pier and Kiet Hong Hotel is over your budget, Lang Du Inn will do for a night and rooms here are priced according to the level of comfort you want, and that means paying extra for air-con or hot water.

After checking out the row of not so great accommodation near the pier, Lang Du is one of the best of the lot and we also got a better feeling about it than its neighbours. The bottom floor is a noodle soup shop and upstairs you’ll find small but decent rooms with a window, a bed squeezed in, mini fridge, box TV and private bathroom. It’s everything a backpacker needs. We’d still recommend Kiet Hong around the corner because of all the helpful extra services they provide, but for the truly frugal, you can save some dong here.
