This is a fine old place with a French and English speaking staff, built in the style of many mountain-top retreats from the colonial period.
Unfortunately there was work being done on our last visit so the once pretty courtyard was full of rubble and the entrance is now up a grotty stairwell near Mimosa Restaurant — look for the sign on Cau May. Hopefully this will soon be completed. Ignore the courtyard though as the rooms are worth a look — they're sparsely but tastefully decorated and a good size, many with a double and single bed, and they all come with air-con, quality bedding, tubs in the bath and big fireplaces. Those on upper floors have great views. Prices are reasonable in the week but jump up considerably at the weekend.
