Down a small alley off busy Bui Vien in Saigon's backpacker district, Eden Garden offers a slight step up over budget hotels in the area, still keeping reasonable prices.

Formerly Lac Vien, the hotel looks like a proper hotel; the lobby is clean, the sheets and curtains in the room have some style, and the staff is courteous and helpful. Rooms are cosy, and by cosy we mean small. This is especially true for the standards, which have an added drawback of being windowless. All rooms come with air-con, WiFi and TV. The private bathrooms are also have size issues but, like the rooms, are clean and modern. Breakfast is included.
