4 stars, based on 1 expert review

Not to be confused with the Pham Ngu Lao hotel of the same name, the Ngoc Minh Hotel offers rooms on the opposite side of District One.

Located near the Sheraton in the heart of Saigon, the hotel's 15 rooms offer those with lighter wallets the chance to stay outside the backpacker area. Rooms here are spacious, with TV, air-con, and private bathrooms, but they are sparsely furnished and the decoration is bland. The hotel's elevator, rare among the budget crowd, makes having a higher floor room much easier. Breakfast is included, but you will save a few dollars by skipping it.
