Cheap and close to the beach
Located at the western end of the beach, on a narrow street packed with local hotels that cater to weekenders, Nhat Linh is a decent hotel with respectable albeit slightly musty rooms.
They are of the usual local hotel variety – bland boxes with tile floor, a few bits of furniture and the requisite amenities that Vietnamese tourists demand: flatscreen TV, mini fridge, air-con, medium-firm mattress and WiFi. Ceilings are high, and the windows and peachy walls keep everything bright and chipper. Bathrooms are tiled wet room style boxes, with hot water shower.
Nhat Linh is easy walking distance to the beach – it’s the only reason you’d want to stay in this area as you’re backed into the southern most corner of the city. If you want to hunt for accommodation, you can always walk up and down Le Loi Street but Nhat Linh really stood out as the least depressing. There’s also a good chance that most of these joints are all full on the weekend.
