Have been spending the New Year playing around with Discord and thinking about if you could be a useful discussion point for Southeast Asia.

Hearing about discord a lot and for the 1st time of a travel forum. Can you please give a small simple explanation of what discord is?

Discord is a messaging platform that allows people to create distributed servers for their own communities to communicate with. Basically, you can think of a server as a group for texting/calling/video conferencing and sharing media like images and such in real-time. They have some cool functions like creating channels (subgroups), scripts to do things like send automatic notices, and much more.
I didn't know Travelfish created a community server on Discord. That's awesome! Joining now
