Yup, where did those five years go?!
This Sunday Travelfish officially turns five.
To celebrate we'll be having a few giveaways through the day on Sunday. Given we've got big readerships in the UK, North America, Australia and New Zealand and across SE Asia, we'll stagger the giveaways through the day to give more people a chance to win things. As we're based in Bali, we'll get things going around mid morning Sunday our time (that's GMT +8).
So watch this space!
Just a bit more info on this.
Come this Sunday, July 12, we'll be running little competitions throughout the day to celebrate five years online.
We'll be giving away Travelfish Guides, t-shirts and other bits and bobs. More information later today.
A bit more info still, the total prize pool is well over US$2,000, so it will be worth your while to drop in on the site come Sunday -- or if you're on Twitter, be sure to track #travelfish5 on Sunday.
More info, including more details on the prizes, coming soon...

See you Sunday, 8am!
I remember when you were just an "ordinary" poster on TT Somtam. What you've achieved with travelfish in just five years is nothing short of amazing.
They say genius is 10% inspiration and 90% hard work ...sounds about right. ;-)
idreamofdurian -- looks far better then any cake I've managed to cook!
carlocargo -- thanks!
SBE -- yup those percentages sound about right, but you forgot to mention all the site members whose support helps Travelfish be what it is.
(I thought of adding in a forum edit function as one of the prizes ;-)
See you all on Sunday :-)
An edit function as a prize, now you're talking! Right, I'll be glued to TF all day then. ;-)
PS I was just looking at your TF guides ...some are a lot more comprehensive (and expensive) than others. Can we chose any one?
Happy Birthday.wish u all the best. keep it up.

happy birthday travelfish! this website has been the most helpful resource yet while planning my upcoming SE Asia adventures. :o) thanks!
(sidenote: where is "the Free Travelfish Guide thread on the forum" so I can "leave a message saying which guide you want") ;o)
