Direct flight Florida to Australia ?

Not as far as I'm aware - New York and Dallas appear to be your best bets. After that it is the West Coast.

Qantas does have a nonstop from Dallas DFW to Sydney SYD

(AA does codeshare with Qantas, so check to see if AA prices might be cheaper - of course they have a connection from Miami)

I agree too, you'll have a hard time finding direct flights coz it isn't available.

The airports of Melbourne, Perth, and Brisbane are also common landing sites for Australia flights. Tourists landing in Sydney will find it easy to pick up a rental vehicle at the airport.
