Siem Reap to BKK - URGENT

Hi,
I'm traveling with my boyfriend to Siem Reap from Phnom Penh. Later I am leaving to Bangkok. I wanted to know what is the best way to do it?

Are the borders dangerous at this time, traveling by bus? Is it best for me to catch a plane?

A more general question, is Thailand safe so far?

Thank you so much!

Hi,

if you have enough time I would simply take a bus to Bangkok from Siem Reap. Borders are safe. There was a bomb going off in southern Thailand a few days ago. So depending on the area you want to go, I would check that out. Bangkok area and nothern Thailand are safe, I would say as the rest of the country is.

Greetings from Thailand

Oh dear god... Now I'm really afraid.

How can I know it's safe to go to Thailand? Isn't it going to settle down?

There has been crap happening in the south for years. Just don't go to Yala.

Hi,
Car more like 6 and bus 7 hours. If you go by bus, take Giant Ibis. It is a little more (I think USD 14.00), but the buses are new and the drivers are cautious. They also have their own restaurant where food is considerably better than the garbage served up at Arun Ras in Kampong Thom.

A decent car should cost you around USD 80.00 for a 4-seater.
