Hello, my husband and I are avid travellers and have been incredibly lucky to see a lot of the world. Now we have a baby girl and this has thrown a magical twist to our usual wonderlust ways. We are pretty sure that our first stop in Cambodia will be Siem Reap and at least 3 days exploring Angkor Wat and the area. Then, we were thinking of just one other destination, and this is where I need your help! Should we head to Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville or Battambang? Or somewhere else entirely?
Prior to our 8 days in Cambodia, we will have spent a week in Bangkok, so hopefully our daughter will be slightly acclimatised.
I look forward to your responses, many thanks.

I'm not sure I would do this with a child of that age. Although their immune systems are fairly well developed, they are not fully developed yet and you are going to run into pathogens for which they have had little or no exposure (and hence little or no resistance). Cambodia's medical system isn't the best, so if the child gets sick... I don't want to sound paranoid, but it's awfully young to beexposing the child to that environment. But assuming you really want to do this, I would recommend PP. It's a fun city and it's infrastructure is more robust.
