Anyone interested in sharing a 2 day private Angkor tour tomorrow?

Posted by BryonyC on 11/8/2015 at 04:00

Hi Everyone!

I've booked a 2 day private tour of Angkor Wat with a highly rated tour guide on Tripadvisor. I'm a solo traveller and needed a good tour for MA research but it'd be great to find more people to join. The tour company is AseanAngkor tours, look on the website if you want to see the itinerary or you can pm me. The cost is 150USD total for 2 days plus site fees but we can share the cost with more people.

It seems to be around or lower than the going rate for a good quality private guided tour with a driver and can be shared by a group.

$150 to see ruins plus site fees is expensive. That is about 50 dinners.

Seen in less backpacker centric terms its two days pay for an experienced local tour guide and transportation. But it depends on your priorities.

Im not a backpacker and locals pay $2 a meal. You are getting ripped off and most of the money goes to the boss not the guide. Guides are poorly paid.

gogomobile stop being so negative.
Bryony obviously needs a good guide for her studies, period. You are not being helpful. Why even respond? People like you are irritating on forums as nothing you have said is of any use. Bryony I agree it depends on your priorities and a good guide can transform a visit anywhere. Good luck with your studies.
