Elections what is affected

Posted by Louise73 on 22/7/2018 at 10:26

Hey I was looking to be in Siem Reap July 28-30 (bus to Bangkok July 31).

I want to go to Angkor wat for 2 days and 1 day for floating markets.

Been advised to check on opening hours due to election. I can't seem to find official site for the temples with opening hours.

Does anyone know if the election is going to affect opening hours for the above ?

If so i can cut time at beach and be there july 26-28 and then get bus to Bangkok July 29 presuming land crossing will be operating on election day.

Thanks for the advise!

As far as I have been able to find out, the only day to day change due to the election is that alcohol will not be on sale on election day. I would expect Angkor Historical Park to be open as usual, as will the border crossings.

If I hear any different, will post here.

Cheers

Thanks

I decided to go earlier

Angkor Wat is never closed.

Giant Ibis told me they are closed July 28-30 and no bus service.

Thanks!
