There is a place, the glistening glaciers rolls down from the steep valleys decorating the silence valley into a mythology Crystal Palace where has palaces, the huge cave, steep ice bridge and so on. In particular the unparalleled large ice falls in more than 1000 meters high and 1,100 meters width, which is magnificent and extraordinary. Hailuogou National Glacier Forest Park is located on the eastern side of Gonggar Mountain in Luding County of Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Garze, Sichuan Province. It is 319 km from Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan Province and 105 km from Kangding, where administrative organs of the Garze Autonomous Prefecture are located. Glaciers in Hailuogou are typical modern marine glaciers, which are rarely found either in low-latitude places or at low altitude. Its lowest point is only 2,850 meters above sea level. The park boasts many geographic attractions, including ancient glaciers, grand glacier cascade, virgin forests, wild animals and hot springs, etc.

The Glacier, formed 16 million years ago, is one of the natural wonders of the world. When you see this glacial formation, you cannot help but marveled at the elaborated handiwork of nature. The vast movement of the earth's crust caused the Gongga mountains to thrust upward and the moderate climatic circumstances both created the good conditions of the formation of the modern glacier and simultaneously made large amount of sights of glaciers including ice mushrooms, ice pagoda forest, ice stairs, ice grooves ,ice pearl lake and ice crystal and so on.
