hey, i love my noodles, and have eaten them in most parts of asia, but the ones (not necessarily the best) i remember most were from a small place on the south east end of khao san rd, who did cellophane noodle in beef broth... had it for breakfast most mornings!

This is probably nostalgia talking, but I still remember fondly a bowl of khao soi eaten on the streets of the night market in Chiang Mai, on my first ever trip to Asia. Mmmm. I'm hungry now just thinking about it.

Just yesterday had some great My Van Than (wonton noodles) here in the Truc Bach neighborhood of Hanoi, and they were dirt cheap (US$1.29). This tiny place had 4 tables and they served just this bowl of noodles (no drinks/no menu). I just moved to the area, and it's only 3 blocks from home.
