Me and my girlfriend have return tickets from the UK to Hong Kong, 28th June until 17th July, 19 days. The plan is to spend a couple of days in Hong Kong, fly to Singapore and then fly back to Hong Kong from Bangkok.
This is the plan itinerary:
1st July Hong Kong -> Singapore via flight
6th July Singapore -> Kuala Lumpur via flight
8th July Kuala Lumpur -> Phuket via flight
11th July Phuket -> Koh Samui via bus
14th July Surat Thani Airport -> Bangkok flight
17th July Bangkok -> Hong Kong (early morning flight to catch UK flight later that day)
I've done a bit of research in to these places but I'll be honest, I don't know where the best places are to visit and for how long. We both want to do exciting things (See Tigers, Universal Studios etc) but keep it a nice beach holiday too. I don't know if Kuala Lumpur is really the place for us as I've read its nowhere near the beach but as we're there it seems like a place we can saywe've been. Does anyone have any advice for the places we should visit with the time we have? Any advice what so ever would be highly appreciated.

Have you already booked flights? If not, I'd recommend allowing less time in Singapore
In Kuala Lumpur I'd definitely recommend going to Batu Caves on the outskirts of town.
If it was anytime other than July I'd recommend skipping Samui and staying on the Andaman ( Phuket ) coast, but July is generally pretty wet over there but nice in Samui. It will take you the best part of a full day though to get from Phuket to Samui and then another half a day from Samui back to Surat Thani so it is quite the diversion for what will be one full day on the beach at Samui... BUT if you allow less time in Singapore and give those days to Samui, it makes a bit more sense.
Hope that helps.
