I'm going to be traveling for six months, 80% of that time will be low altitude, however, on some occasions I want to do some high altitude trekking. I can't give the insurance company the specific dates and of course I don't want to pay a huge premium high altitude insurance for the full six months. Before I start speaking to insurance companies I wondered if anyone had any advice. I suppose the obvious choice would be to take a more regular insurance then contact my insurance provider when I'm about to do the high treks?
Many thanks in advance.
