Booking a homestay in Bali

Posted by SandySowas on 24/7/2017 at 00:44

Hello,

I am traveling to Bali (Ubud) during August and wanted to know the best way to book a homestay. Is it recommended to book online and in advance? or are do folks generally show up and have a few places in mind and then book? I'm looking for a quiet, chill place, not too expensive and has breakfast included, so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Sandy

Hey

We recently were in Bali (June) and booked most of our stays in advance by a few days (used booking.com) - there was always plenty of rooms available so you're probably fine just turning up but you may not end up with the the best place.

If you're looking for an authentic homestay a little out of central Ubud couldn't recommend Dukuh village homestay enough. It's amongst the rice fields so seriously peaceful, breakfast is included and the hosts are lovely. You're probs best having your own wheels (moped hire) as there's not much within walking distance but if that's what you're after then it's a good pick.

Hope it helps,
Helen
