The ultimate experience for nature lovers.
Come camping in the beautiful countryside of Laos.
Situated 6 km north of Vang Vieng on the banks ofthe Nam Song river and overlooked by the kaast mountains.
Stay in our large tent which sleeps up to 14 people and is fully mosquito proofed. All bedding provided.
Wash in the river and cook your food on open fires beneath the stars – generally a community meal is organized.
This is a beautiful wooded site with great walks to the hidden valley, caves to explore and even a zipline running along the mountains behind us. Only a 25 minute walk down the river to the start of the tubing.
There is no electricity or wifi, lots of lizards, some large spiders and a few snakes. Only suitable for self reliant individuals preferably who have had some camping experience. You will be expected to help collecting firewood and doing the dishes but the main rules are to be mindful to not do anything you don’t want to do and not to harm any of the trees or animals with the exception of mosquitoes and ants but only if they bite you first! To reach the campsite you will need to ford the river which is not too difficult.
Minimum stay is 3 days, and the cost is 20,000 kip per night. Booking is at Pans Place Guesthouse and our receptionists Gav and Elly can organize transport. All you really need to bring is some clothes, toiletries, a torch and your food. Basics like condiments, sugar, drinking water, cooking oil etc; are provided. If you don’t want to bring your extra baggage you can leave it in a safe room at Pans Place for a 20,000 kip.
There is a page with photos at: https://www.facebook.com/vangviengcamping
Look forward to seeing you there for a wonderful time.
Cheers,Neil.

I spend three nights there and had a wonderful time! Basically everything you can do in Vang Vieng you can do out there. You can go tubing, hiking, exploring caves, which is pretty cool. If you have time I would defently recommend it!
