Booking accomodation in KL

Posted by Pjotra on 9/1/2015 at 23:18

Please note, that, when booking through a bookingsite, such as Booking.com, the 6%Vat is not mentioned, as is the 10% ' SERVICECHARGE'. Even the smallest guesthouses do not take any direct reservations anymore, but work through a third party, which explains the servicecharge. No such problems on the Malaysian parts of Borneo, though. By the way, did you know that Malaysians from the mainland need a visa for Sabah and Serawak, but that the people from Borneo don' t need one for visiting the mainland Malaysia? Has to do with the fact that Borneo wants to split of, tney own the oilfields of the coast.

I've booked with Airbnb for KL since it's so expensive - I'm paying $60. for a beautiful shared condo in the trendy part of town
