A friend and I are looking for a unquie hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Have just 2 nights but would like to be able to walk to small places to eat/ drink/party and maybe a cooking class? We’re 60 years old but truly believe we’re 30.

Your timing is right as I just finished publishing our KL update yesterday! You don't mention what kind of prices you have in mind, but Tian Jing Hotel might be a good choice—it is right in Chinatown so very handy for food and so on. It is also brand new.
Another comfortable option over in Bukit Bintang is Anggun Boutique it has been around for ages and remains a great option.
