For anyone going to Nepal and looking for a unique experience with a wonderful family and some beautiful kids, check out the below site. They are a relatively new orphanage and have only 9 children (which is great because it really allows you to get to know the kids). 2 of the children are the couples own, they've taken on 7 children for various different deprived backgrounds and clothed, washed, fed them and ensured they get a good education. All this with no help from the government or any major charities - they've been funded entirely by their own savings, family donations and traveller donations. I volunteered here towards the end of last year and couldn't recommend it more. They are a truly independent organisation, so your money goes direct to the children that need it, and you don't have to pay some middle party extortionate amounts.
All they ask for is a small donation, and the cost of food & accommodation - which altogether is still a lot less than average prices for Nepal.
Any questions, please feel free to give me a shout, either by reply or private message. This is any time as well - no matter how old this post is!
Cheers for looking guys :)
