We will have 1-1.5 weeks in the Philippines in mid October and wondering where to go. We are mainly interested in nice beaches, not too touristy, somewhere to learn to surf would be great but not a must. We are on a lower end budget but would be willing to spend a bit more on flights if necessary. Keen to maximise our time.
if u are planning to go to cebu u must try canyoneering, oslob whale shark watcing, island hopping in moalboal, snorkeling with sardines run in moalboal, kawasan fall and sumilon as well. I can recommend a good and honest driver, to get u to this adventure from airport to ur destination or maybe arrange for cheaper package

where are you flying in to?.
Cebu is a good option as it has lots of activities close by without having to hop on a plane.
If you are landing in Manila you could bus it north to Pagipud mabey stop off on 100 islands on the way.
Or fly to Pueto Princessa in Palawan and head north to El Nido but with 10 days its a bit of a rush.
The best place to learn to surf is Siargao it has nice beaches and very laid back.I would spend a week there and a few days in Manila.
