Bangkok shutdown

Posted by zls on 2/1/2014 at 05:38

unfortunately my long haul from Bangkok leaves on Jan 16. I will arrive by train from the south and wonder if and how I will be able to get to the airport. Right now I plan using MRT and the airport train and I have a lot of time. Anyone have a better idea?

I will also have to go through Bangkok on Jan 9, but don't expect major difficulties on that date. Opinions?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ZLS

Yes MRT straight from Hualamphong to the Airport Link interchange at Petchaburi. Easy. Why do you expect difficulties?

I do hope you're right. Any tips for getting into town on Jan 9th? I'll have to get to Samsen / Khao San area, so it'll probably be by taxi.
