Travelling from Phuket Airport to Phi Phi

Posted by Rene4 on 13/11/2016 at 22:15

ive got a flight which gets into Phuket airport at 10am, I want to meet some friends in Phi Phi the same day so need to get to the pier and then a ferry to the island. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get from the AirPort to the island, shall I book a ferry in advance or just try and get a deal at the pier? How much will it all cost?
Thanks in advance for your help!

You can book it online in one hit through a travel agent like 12Go Asia - see here for eg, but if you don't want to do that, you'll be able to sort out transfers on arrival through one of the agencies at the airport.

We just did ferry from Phuket to Ko Phi Phi. It was 600 baht. We went through one of the ferry companies who picked us up by minivan (from Kamala beach). You should be able to sort at airport on arrival in Phuket - highly efficient services there!
Or, simply get the airport shuttle into main Phuket town (takes a while but taxis are 700 baht) and then book at a tourist info/booking place (there are dozens). They will assist you to book the ferry and ensure you are picked up (for a small fee on top of the ferry ticket).

I personally prefer booking in advance because prices tend to be lower. It's more convenient for me too. I often use PhuketFerry because they have the cheapest ferry tickets and they're partnered with reliable ferry companies. Ferry tickets cost roughly $9.
