1st time in thiland

Hi I'm planning on trip to thiland with my daughter who's 11.
I'm thinking krabi - ko lanta 1st may.
Can any suggest family friendly guest houses ?which beaches to visit?
Daughter fancied beach hut but had mixed reviews on that.

Avoid Ao Nang, it's trashy and a bit seedy. Railay worth a night or two if you have time. All of Lanta's beaches are nice... You probably want to avoid Khlong Khong as it's the party stoner beach. Khlong Nin and Haad Phra Ae (Long Beach) are both nice and central and fine for kids. Lanta will be quiet in May, you'll get some rain and the sea may be too rough for boat tours.
