Trat airport to Ko Kut - transport & route?

Posted by JeremyH on 7/2/2017 at 23:24

Hi there,

Been a few years since I last visited Ko Chang & some of the nearby islands. This May 17 I'm heading to Ko Kut . Are there direct boats to Ko Kut from Trat or do I have to get one from Ko Chang? Any recent knowledge/advice most welcome. Thanks, JeremyH.

Boats run to Ko Kut from Laem Sok on the mainland in Trat province: https://www.travelfish.org/transport/thailand/eastern_thailand/trat/ko_kut/all

Last time I was in the area it was possible to book a combined songthaew/ferry transfer to Kut direct from the bus station in Trat, but not sure about the airport. I think you'll need to get a van to Trat town and link up with a travel agent to buy a ticket to Kut. You might get stuck in Trat town for a night if you don't arrive in the morning. In that case you could take an afternoon ferry to Ko Chang, but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be able to transfer to a same-day boat to Kut from there either. https://www.travelfish.org/transport/thailand/eastern_thailand/trat/ko_chang/all
