We are a family of 5 (Mum, Dad, 9, 7, 5) trying to get to Suvarnabhumi Airport on Monday. We are staying near Bang Chak BTS. I have calculated that if we take the BTS and then the airport train link it will cost us 100B each (kids are the same price as adults). Does anyone know if we can take a taxi for the same price or less? We are Backpackers, so we don't mind moving and carrying, but if we can cut out the hassle and do it for the same price, we will. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

A meter taxi to Suvarnabhumi from Bang Chak would definitely be less than 500 baht, so I guess the question is, can you fit your family of five plus luggage into a regular taxi flagged down on the street? There are larger taxis but you'd have to ask your hotel to call and arrange a pick up, which would most likely cost around 500 baht and they wouldn't use the meter since it would be a pick up service. Good chance that regular taxis won't want to take such a big group and those that stop would likely request a flat fee rather than using the meter.
The price is 1200 with van maximum 10 persons (depend on number of your luggage)
