Bus connection in Chiang Mai

Posted by Trish177 on 22/5/2017 at 21:46

I am travelling from Sukhothai to Chiang Mai tomorrow - due to arrive in Chiang Mai around 12:30 - I then need to catch a bus to Pai and last one seems to leave at 2pm, so in theory I have enough time.

But to save time, can anyone give advice on where I run to to get my ongoing ticket to Pai and can anyone confirm that both buses arrive/depart from the main Arcade station.

Yes, Arcade is the place. You can book tickets to Pai online here else you can buy at the station (though you may have to wait for a couple of buses before you can get a seat).

Thanks for prompt response! Checked link and pleased to see that there are at least 3 buses from CM to Pai leaving tomorrow afternoon, all with plenty of seats at the moment.

Go to platform 12 and look for Prempracha Transport, orange/white minivans. They depart every hour until 17:30 so you should have plenty of time.
