Take the earliest possible ferry from Ko Tao to Chumphon, then switch to a minibus or bus to Khuraburi (most buses heading to Takua Pa / Khao Lak / Phuket etc. should be able to drop you in Khuraburi). When you get to the ferry pier in Chumphon, tell your transport driver that you want to go to Khuraburi (or Phang Nga) and they'll take you to the right place to catch a bus. Alternately you could take a minibus to Ranong and transfer there to a Khuraburi-bound minibus.
You'll want someone in Khuraburi (or yourself) to call your bungalow place of choice on Ko Phra Thong so they can pick you up when you arrive. It's low season there so all places may not be open. Also there's a good chance you'll get stuck spending a night in Khuraburi.
