It's early in rainy season so the weather could go either way. I believe those islands will only be accessible by private longtail boat in May for around 2,000 baht per boat -- ask around at travel offices in Trang town to see if you can share the boat with others and lessen the price.

I more concern, is it a heavy raining that time (date) travel ?
If yes, it will hard to vacation around islands.

Scroll to the Trang graph on this page and you can see that in May, Trang (and islands off its shore) are likely to get more rain than in April, but not nearly as much as July to October.
So it's highly unlikely that it will be heavily raining the whole time you're there. More likely is that you'll get some heavy rain (usually storms blow through in an hour or two) mixed with some sunshine and clouds. May is between seasons, so it really depends on your luck.
