Distance from old airport to new airport

Posted by mrsT on 29/9/2006 at 06:26

I am visiting Bangkok in December, and I'm hoping someone knows how long it will take to travel between the old airport and the new airport, and approximately how much will that cost me? I booked a hotel near the old airport, not realizing that the new one would be open at the time of my stay. I thought about cancelling my reservation, but it is non-refundable and I am not sure there is any cost benefit to doing so. I think I will just have to stay there and pay much more for a taxi. Any suggestions?

Hi mrsT,

Welcome to Travelfish!

A taxi from the new to the old should take between 30 and 45 minutes and cost 150-200B before tolls (around another 80B depending on which way the cabbie goes).

Hope that helps!
