Travel Health Insurance for over 65 years of age ? ?

Posted by Catoni on 24/11/2018 at 22:48

Well.... well.... .. World Nomads turned me down because I'm 67 years old. World Nomads is not for older folks....
Enter travelers’ ages [ 67 ] Sorry, you must be under 66 years of age
Nice..... ! :(
Wondering what I do now ? Is there reasonably priced travel health insurance for older retired men and women?
I suppose if I decide to stay in southeast Asia permanently, I could buy some kid of health insurance locally.... Cambodia, Thailand or elsewhere....
Hopefully some decent insurance that won't break me financially.... I'm not wealthy.
Thank you...

That's weird, I'm 67 and I obtained World Nomads insurance last month for an upcoming trip to SEA. And it was reasonably priced, under $300 for a 4 month trip. Suggest you call them and talk to someone. I used Insure My Trip earlier this year for a trip to Portugal so maybe try them. Good luck!

Since turning 65 travel insurance doubled in price for me

I shopped around and now have an annual multi trip policy for myself and my wife for about £300 with Avanti

Not cheap, but means I can keep on traveling.
