US Visa to Vietnam?

Posted by pirmelenge on 23/9/2013 at 22:30

Hello All,

Does anyone have any knowledge about the pre-departure visa to Vietnam for US citizens? I'd like to get a 60 day visa, and am wondering - does my 60 days begin when they approve my visa or does it begin when I enter the country?

The embassy website was a bit confusing, so if anyone knows the answer I'd appreciate it!

Thanks :)

A 60-day visa begins when you enter the country.

It starts from the first day of the visa's delivery.

i.e. You apply for a visa on the 1st of October saying you will enter the country on 15th November.
You actually enter the country on 20th November.
The 60 days still start on 15th November.

I like the VOA visa - just a whole lot easier and cheaper for Vietnam

Posted from within Vietnam.

American can get Vietnam visa with validity of 60 days, and your visa will start form the day noted in visa.
