Visa overland border

Posted by dolicadol on 28/10/2013 at 09:09

Hi,

We are coming overland with bus to Vietnam from Phnom Penh.
Is it true that we can not get visa on the border?
Is there any chance that we get visa direct on the border?!

If not can we make visa in Bangkok in 1 day- in the morning we give and in the afternoon we pick our passports up.

How much is the total price- visa + urgent fee?

Thank you soooo much.

You need a visa before coming to the border. It will take maximum two days in Bangkok. Some times they can do it in hours.

Cheers

Does anybody know any reliable agent in siem reap who can make visa for us?

Here is a writeup on getting a Vietnamese visa in Bkk -- best seems to be next day service. If you tried it in Siem Reap I assume it would take longer as the passports would need to be sent to Phnom Penh for processing.

No visa on arrival at land crossings for Vietnam.

You can also get it done in Phnom Penh, if you're staying there for a couple of days. Five Oceans can do it for USD63 per person. Two business days are optimal, though it's possible to get done in a day. Possible, not guaranteed.
