Viet Nam - Booking flights

Posted by davidvicky on 29/3/2016 at 22:32

Hi there

I am wanting to book some internal flights in Vietnam and heard you can do it through the 1tour.vn, chudu, ivivu, agoda, booking... website. Has anyone used this before? Does any one have any good or bad stories about it? It's prices seem a lot cheaper than what I have been quoted at a travel agency.

Thanks!

Hi davidvicky,

I usually book direct through the airline's website or at their office -- I find the price is either the same or cheaper than a travel agent. Vietnam domestic flights are almost all Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific or VietJet. I've never had a problem booking Vietnam Airlines or Jetstar through their website -- it's easy, can use international credit card. Jetstar charges a small online booking fee. Booking VietJet online is more fickle, but I never fly VietJet if I can avoid it. Their flights seem to always get delayed or cancelled.

There's always an official Vietnam Airlines office in the cities, and sometimes they have promotions that are not online.

Hope this helps.

I always just book it myself:

Not sure what the advantage would be of going through a middle man...

Hi,
As I know, I agree with most of my friends that taking Vietnam airline is the best. However, it is more expensive than the others. If you can book ticket in their promotion program, you can get very good price. It ensures the good flight. The other Vietjet or jetstar have sometimes been delayed.
Hope that it can help!
