My Son in the rain

Hi all,

I´m currently in Hoi An, it has been raining for the last 48 hours and it doesn´t look like it´s going to stop anytime soon.

Is it worth going to My Son in this kind of weather?

The receptionist of my hotel actually advised against it (instead of pushing their tour) because it would be too "muddy"...

Cheers
Axel

Hi Axel,

Well it will be muddy -- but it won't be crowded! The road is sealed the entire way, so yeah it will be a bit muddy plodding around the ruins, but unless the rain is torrential, what else you going to do?

There is a short walk from car park to the ruins & remains of the first section of My Son. This walk was eroded soil but more recently has been resurfaced and should be less muddy. My Son is about feelings - feeling you get when nobody else is there! go in the rain!!!!
