Dak Lak Tourist doesn't deliver

After an unanticipated change of plans, we found ourselves flying in to Buon Ma Thout and in need of some guide assistance to go trekking. The only company we could find open was Dak Lak Tourist. It became evident very quickly they couldnt' provide us with the two day homestay trekking experience we were after but the guide, Tuan, promised us a 2 day trip using local transport to Dray Sur, Dray Nap and Gia Long Falls, plenty of walkign along the way and then walkign teh following day to villages around Lak Lake. We were doubtful, but he assured us he would do his best. He gamely did on the first day, and we did appreciate his assistance with catchign teh local buses to our destinations and talking to the lovely people on the buses, but his time keepign was rubbish and we never did make it to Gia Long Falls (ran out of time). The following day (we stayed the night at Lak Lake), his legs were sore from unaccustomed walking the previous day and he was clearly unwilling to do as much walking as he'd promised. We never did get to the second village and all in all we found him quite frustrating the second day. He was helpful to get from A to B, but generally otherwise didn't add much to our trip and then had the gall to ask for a tip as he saw us off on the bus to Dalat. We wouldn't particularly recommend the company unless you are a bit stuck for other options, as we were.
