Phnom Penh to Battambang

Posted by icet2sugars on 30/4/2006 at 11:18

Does anyone know whether there are any buses leaving Phnom Penh for Battambang at around noon (if not later)? Hoping this is not too ambitious, I'm hoping I can somehow get to Battambang after arriving in Phnom Penh airport at 9.30am. From what I've gathered, all buses leave in the early morning. After going through custom/money exchanging etc, I don't think I can get to the bus centre until noon! Any info would be appreciated! I'd try to avoid the shared taxi option if possible! As I'll ...

atm/ debt card

Posted by manojdephoto on 14/2/2006 at 10:35

Hello, I will be flying into Bangkok on 20/2 from Chicago and then travel by land to Siem Reap. I have an ATM/ debt card that has the VISA logo on it. I know that ANZ Bank in Phnom Penh will accept ATM cards that draw on foreign banks accounts. If I take a cash advance using my ATM/ debt card, can I use other banks in Cambodia besides ANZ? Is this equivalent to using a regular ATM card at a bank? Thanks, Manoj ...

We plan to be in Siem Reap over 5 days, and i was left to decide where our accomodation should be. I have identified 2 place, but can't decide which is better to stay at - Earthwalkers or Pavillion Indochine. We plan to stay there for 2 days and then move to an accomodation closer to the Old Market area as we would like to go shopping as well. Can you please suggest a place to stay? Our top prority is clean beds and toilets (with a tub, if possible). What do you think of Shadows of Angkor? Thank ...

blondie travelling alone

Posted by Ankka on 6/4/2006 at 17:46

Hi All, I'm dreaming of travelling in Cambodia, and I would like to alone. People tend to think I'm nuts, being young small female and all.. So I'm really asking your opinion here. How safe is Cambodia outside the hotel areas (which I'd like to avoid)? I'm not very experienced traveller, but I do have my brains attached (or so I think..). Got to admit though, because of my looks I certainly pass neither as a local nor as a karate champ. Actually what I'm mostly afraid of is that while pl ...

If anyone can give me some pointers and suggestions on must-sees ( or if you're really kind, an actual travel plan) i would deeply appreciate it! ...
