Itinerary help for Cambodia

Posted by Jugurtha on 25/9/2017 at 23:01

Hello, our family 2 adults and 2 kids aged 10 and 9 will be travelling to Cambodia and Laos in January. We prefer quieter towns where we can walk or ride a bike with not too much traffic and fun/interesting things for the kids to do. We would appreciate any suggestions in amending the below itinerary, whether re-allocating time at destinations to leaving destinations off to avoid too much travel: - 4 nights Siem Reap (Siem Reap dates are fixed) >> taxi or bus to Battambang - 2 nights ...

Tuk Tuk Driver in Siem Reap

Posted by mralfr3dchan on 5/7/2016 at 04:05

Had the pleasure of having a companian whilst at Siem Reap last month. Tuk Tuk driver and guide. Was very punctual and what I like about him is that he is pretty committed to his schedule, unlikely many who seemed to be rushing around. Handled our travel itinerary well, brought us to spots which touristless photography was possible. It was a nice trip and I felt I should do him fair by introducing to fellow travelers for your consideration to use him. You can see his website here. He can speak ...

Flying into and out of Phnom Penh. Getting down south without going back through PP.

Posted by christay2009 on 7/5/2017 at 01:57

Hello all, First post in a long time ... I'm trying to plan a short vacation to Cambodia during the first couple of weeks of July. I have flight tickets into and out of Phnom Penh which has caused a bit of a headache planning the itinerary. I've included what I've got so far below. One issue is could I get from Battambang to Siam Reap Airport for a 1:30pm flight? Would I need to hire my own car to do this trip? I would ideally like to avoid having to transit through PP again on the way so ...

First Time in Asia

Posted by mrsb1803 on 15/2/2017 at 06:51

Hi All Husband and I (late 50's) are planning our trip for November. We travel quite often but just Europe and the US so this year we're heading further east. Want to see all the usual tourist sites and some of the real Cambodia, learn about the people and history. We are not beach lovers but would like to wind down for the last few days. Work dictates only 2 weeks so any comments & suggestions to the itinerary below would be very welcome. Leaving from Heathrow 4 nights Siem Reap -Golde ...

Phnom Penh to Kampot or to Kep

Posted by lajoy9 on 17/3/2017 at 04:51

Dear all, congratulations for The New York Times vote. Travelfish is most valuable to me while on my first trip to SE Asia. Food, directions and things to do. Hotels occasionally. Today's question is: We are in PP at the moment, going to Kep for 2 nights, than 5 nights in Kampot . I thought about maybe going directly to Kampot from PP, leave our luggage our Kampot Hotel, rent a motorbike for 2 days to go to Kep and come back 2 days later. Would that be a good plan? In Kep, we wa ...

Any suggestions on which Cambodian island is good for a family? In Thailand, we loved Koh Mak (it wa ...
