Cardamom mountain trekking from trapaeng roung or chi pat?

Posted by Stphie on 16/12/2013 at 05:06

Hi, we are 2 girls travelling through SEA and are about to spend 2 weeks in Cambodia. We would like to do a 2 - 3 day trekking in the cardamom mountains. We'll be coming from Battambang and after cardamom mountains travelling back to thailand/bangkok. 2 questions: - What base should we take? Trapaeng Roung or Chi Pat? - How do we get there? bus? boat? taxi? via Koh Kong? Pursat? ... I hear transport and roads are not that great in that region. I hope to get some good info. thanks in advance ...

Posted by kelseyg on 31/1/2010 at 22:34

Hello all, My partner and I were hoping to rent bikes when in Siem Reap to bike around and explore on our own. Apparently there are lots of other wats and historical sites to happen upon, and we've heard that biking is a great way to do it. My concern is whether this is safe to do, mostly with respect to landmines. Any thoughts? ...

Phnom Penh to HCMC via Mekong River

Posted by SoloGirls on 5/1/2014 at 20:01

I am planning on doing 2 weeks in Cambodia and a little of Vietnam. I was looking in to different ways of getting over the boarder going from Cambodia to Vietnam and I'm most interested in the boat option for something different from all the bussing. I have a few questions about this though. 1. My friends are warning me against Cambodia. I've already booked a flight there, so changing it is definitely not something I want to do given the huge fees. I checked the risk and it is showing as hi ...
