Angkor Wat - 1 or 3 days?

Posted by CrankyCarrot on 23/2/2012 at 05:40

So the deal they offer is $20 for a one day pass and $40 for a 3 day pass. I was wondering if people who've been think there's enough to see there to keep you busy for 2-3 days? I have a flexible time budget, but if you can do it justice in a day I'll just grab the single pass. ...

Phnom Penh to Siem Rep (how to)

Posted by time2fly on 20/2/2012 at 03:26

This is not as much as a how to... I am curious if there is a strict schedule for departures via bus or other transportation. I am arriving in PP sometime around 530pm and want to go straight to Siem Rep. Should I wait until the next morning are am I able to get there right away? I have a short stay in Cambodia and want to see both. I want to spend most of the time in Sieam Rep. So basically I am curious about modes of transportation from PP to Siem Rep around 530pm Thanks ...

Siem Reap to Banlung

Posted by Gegp2000 on 27/7/2010 at 23:13

Hi Everyone, Pretty new to this website, but already totally in love with it. We're leaving on Sunday for Bangkok then Cambodia, and I have a few questions about how to travel insinde the country: From Siem Reap to Banlung. Should we take a bus to Kamnpong Cham, change there, and spend a night in Kratie before heading north? Is it worth to go both to Banlung and Sen Monorom? I would like to trek with the elephants, as well as to trek in the forest of Virachay. How interesting is the Chong K ...

Help - my mate has lost their russian passport (actually it was stolen)

Posted by PeterW on 15/2/2012 at 02:39

Hi I'm hoping there may be some russian nationals here who can help. My russian friend had 2 Russian passports, cash and her credit cards stolen in Siem Reap yesterday. The Russian embassy isn't being very helpful with regard to re-issuing a new passport and I doubt the tourist police will find it either. If she can't get a new one she has to fly direct from Cambodia to Russia which effectively ends her trip. For every other country including the UK passports can be replaced but all the russi ...

Hello SIM = Ripoff

Posted by CrankyCarrot on 12/2/2012 at 04:05

I bought a Hello SIM card to use in Cambodia, since the deal I was offered seemed pretty good. $8 for the SIM, with $10 credit. Well, it turns out that it was $8 for a SIM, $3 credit and $7 of near-useless "bonus credit," which as it turns out you can only use to call other Hello SIM users. The girl selling the card presented it as $10 worth of credit you can use to call anyone, anywhere. Although being $5 out isn't the end of the world, it really sticks in my craw when I get a raw d ...
