Cambodia Itinerary - few questions

Posted by kirsten87 on 10/2/2011 at 05:46

Hi Guys, I have put together a rough itinerary for my time in Cambodia, I will be travelling probably in around June/July so not sure if all my plans will be possible in the rainy season. Would appreciate your thoughts. Will probably be about three weeks but can be extended or shortened depending on how I feel as I'm also travelling around Vietnam, Laos and Thailand. Not planning on spending too much time on the coast in favour of doing this in Thailand. Arrive in Phnom Penh from HCMC. Take ...

Siem Reap to Bangkok overland: are there companies to book the entire journey?

Posted by smillertime78 on 27/2/2011 at 18:03

Hello! So glad to hear the roads have been paved, etc as I need to get from Siem Reap to Bangkok (and hopefully to Ko Chang same-day!) in mid-March. Does anyone know if there are companies in either Phnom Penh or (preferably) Siem Reap that can help facilitate the entire journey, including border crossing? Or is it really that easy to do alone (and I am alone!)? Alternatively, there was mention of a quick shared taxi trip; I assume this would be for only either the Cambodia OR Thailand ...

Aspara Dance

Anyone been to the Alliance Cafe for a meal or their Aspara show? It sounds expensive at $19 p.p, but I don't mind paying if the food is good and the show is of a good quality. Some of the ones in Pub Street sound a bit rough and I am travelling with my 7 year old daughter so looking for a quieter option. ...

Hey Guys, Had a really great experience recently whilst in Stung Treng, Cambodia. Most people pass through this little town on their way to or from Laos but if you do stay, even 1 night and you are a native English speaker (or even if your English is really good and it's your second language) the local students would love to practice their English with you! Students at Stung Treng's 'Eastern International School' don't usually get the opportunity to get to talk to a westerner. It was almost emba ...
