Volunteer at English School, Stung Treng, Cambodia.

Posted by chikey on 10/3/2011 at 19:39

Hey Guys, Had a really great experience recently whilst in Stung Treng, Cambodia. Most people pass through this little town on their way to or from Laos but if you do stay, even 1 night and you are a native English speaker (or even if your English is really good and it's your second language) the local students would love to practice their English with you! Students at Stung Treng's 'Eastern International School' don't usually get the opportunity to get to talk to a westerner. It was almost emba ...

I know it's right at the top, but tensions between countries are tensions. Hopefully this won't affect crossing the border elsewhere... Thanks :d -- wego ...

Advice on Cambodia destinations

Posted by Jehonna on 1/2/2011 at 21:06

Hi, I'm planning to travel with my mother for her 60th birthday and I'm seriously considering Cambodia (we've already done Thailand). We'll be coming around mid April. We're coming in from Bangkok We have about 14-16 days for this trip. I'm attracted to Cambodia because of Siem Reap /Ankor Wat and what sounds like really great people, but the rest of it seems a little underwhelming to me (I'm not sure I want to go down to the beach in Sihaounkville). Am I missing something??? I also seriously ...

Hey guys, so here's the deal: I'll be travelling to Cambodia in March and I'm having 11 days to spend. I'm arriving in Phnom Penh and will be staying there for two nights. Then will eventually end up in Siem Reap and stay there for three nights. In between those two places, I have a week to spend around Cambodia and was hoping to get some input from you guys. Since I wanna avoid excessive travelling from one place to another, I thought about visiting only one extra region during that time. ...
